I don’t know about you, but once I get home from work all I want to do is lay on the couch and turn on Netflix. So I like to take advantage of the time I have in the mornings before work to be productive instead. Here are some things you can do to be productive in the morning…
— Wake up early and DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT hit that snooze button! It is so easy to keep on snoozing, but before you know it, it’s time to get out of bed and all you’ve got time for is to brush your teeth. So to force yourself to get up, you can set an alarm and put it away from my bed. Keep it far enough that you have no choice but to get up to turn it off.
— Make your bed. This only takes a few minutes so why not tidy up your room a little. It will help clear your mind and set the tone for a productive day!
— Hydrate! First thing you want to do when you make your way to the kitchen is drink a tall glass of water. This will wake you up and boost your metabolism! And if you are like me and forget to hydrate throughout the day, this is a great habit to start now.
— Start of load of laundry. Or do any simple chore. Doing one each day really helps to spread everything out so that you don’t have to waste a day of your weekend dedicated to cleaning the house.
— Go for a walk or do a quick workout. Nothing makes me feel more productive than fitting in a workout in the morning. I love doing this because it makes me feel like that hardest part of my day is done.
— Make a healthy breakfast. Have a smoothie or a bowl of oats. You’ll feel good and you won’t feel so bad when your coworker convinces you to go out for something greasy for lunch.
— Journal. You can reflect on anything! Maybe write about something you are thankful for. This will help start your day on a positive note.
— Write a to do list. Make a list of all the things that you want to get done that day. Check each task off as you complete it. This will help you to get a lot done and stay on track.
— Tidy up your living room. You’ll thank yourself when you get home after a long day at work to a clean house.
— Get ready! Waking up early lets you take more time to get yourself ready.. fix up your hair, put on some mascara, maybe even pick out an outfit that doesn’t consist of leggings. When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you’ll feel more motivated to be more productive throughout the day!
Hope this gave you some good ideas! Have a lovely day! 🙂
