I have been loving all the new skin care trends lately. I’m trying to learn more about it and develop a routine that I enjoy so that I look forward to taking better care of my skin. Something that really caught my attention was Jade Rolling, and if you are as beauty obsessed as I am, you are probably just as curious!
What is a Jade Roller? What does it do?
They’re said to have healing and protective properties for your skin. Jade rollers are made of stone and usually have a smaller and a larger end. Roll it over your skin and it should help with blood circulation, fine lines, brightness and swelling. Think of them as mini face massagers!
How do you use it?
Start with a clean and moisturized face. I like to apply a beauty oil before going in with the roller. I have been using the Tarte Maracuja Oil. This helps balance and nourish your skin packing it with vitamins and nutrients to help boost radiance. After doing that, roll away! I like to start from my neck, to the bottom of my face, forehead and the around the eyes. I use the larger end on my neck area and all around my face. Go in sections, rolling upwards 3-5 times in each area. Around the eyes, I use the smaller end of the roller. This is great to de-puff and reduce swelling around your eyes.
How do you store it?
I like to keep mine in the fridge. It keeps it cold and I love that feeling on my face especially in the mornings. It helps wake me up and really helps with inflammation as I tend to be more puffy in the mornings.
Where can I get one?
I have been seeing these everywhere lately! You can get them at Sephora, Ulta, even at Nordstrom. Click on each store to view all of their facial rollers. You can even find them on Amazon, for more affordable ones. I happened to find a Rose Quartz one at TJ Maxx for just $12.
You can definitely use this at night, but I love having it as part of my morning skincare routine. Try it out and let me know how you like it!
